alv Reviews: Stand Up (FELT)

02. Innocent Eyes
To be honest… to me this feels like a Satori arrange that is NOT a Satori arrange. It sounds really experimental to me in comparison to previous songs by 舞花. I don’t find it bad however, and the chorus is pretty nice. It’s end is also nice.

03. World Around Us
Crystallized Silver and Vivienne… must end good. This song reminds me a little of In The End from Silver Drive. Then again, Renko is again in charge of the lyrics. Manages to not sound exactly the same, and sound amazing. A nice song overall. (But then again, I’ve lately grown a lot into Vivienne’s singing… then again, she’s just THAT varied)

04. Rational Beings
Maurits is amazing at making background intermission tracks. This one is no exception. Nothing more to be said.

05. chronos
If there was one thing I liked in the previous album, it was the introduction of Boyz party. I’m glad they still are here, because this makes Mima’s theme justice… and it’s slow. Sounds a little Xmas-y at first, but then it gets to the “party” part of the song… a nice addition. I expect more amazing music from Boyz party in the albums to come.

06. Silent Star
By the number of tracks, you’ve probably noticed that 美歌 doesn’t have an orchestral track like in previous albums. Despite this, her performance in rock is pretty nice and I still consider her FELT’s highlight (she ONLY appears with this circle, unlike EVERYONE ELSE). If she could get two tracks per album, one rock and one orchestral, I would be very glad. She might even work better at rock than 舞花.

07. Free Your Mind
I would say that this is Renko’s debut as a main vocalist… if not for the fact that she and her circle released their first album this Reitaisai. Anyways, this was more of a closing track… Can’t really state an opinion of this one.

The intro and outro are both up to FELT’s standards.

Overall: This is like Silver Drive, but more restrained. In Silver Drive, FELT was pretty much poking at others styles of music to see what they could get away with. Here’s the same, but since it pretty much could count as an EP, to me it doesn’t live up to FELT’s usual standards. Also, the fact that there’s no MZC Mix of any kind is dissapointing. I would consider this album average, since despite not liking the songs as much as previous ones, I recognize that this is more of an experimental album.

(PD: I wish I knew how to add a comment box to the damn site)

(PD2: This works on a 1-5 Star rating… thing…)

This image here… is quite ironic. I can have all of that… yet no Doujin CDs. Among things done:

  • Went to the beach
  • Got water in my ear
  • Ate lunch
  • Listened to some metal.

The water is STILL IN MY EAR… it seems to have been absorbed in it. By tomorrow or wednesday, I KNOW I’ll have horrible pain in my ear.

And I start ANOTHER blog… AGAIN. I suck at this. Here I shall do observations on stuff… and on my life I guess. Enjoy~…
… oh, and for random pictures, go to Moon’s Dream (over there is EVERYTHING I previously rebloged, etc.)
